Position Overview

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Intern / Social Media Manager to bring our Instagram presence to life! This is a hybrid role perfect for someone who loves content creation, storytelling, and working in a beautiful, unique farm environment. You'll be the voice of Highland Farms on Instagram, capturing the magic of our Highland Cows, weddings, and farm experiences.

Position Details

• Location: Hybrid - On-site at Highland Farms (Brightwood, OR) 2 days per week for content filming; remote work for content editing and scheduling

• Hourly Rate: Starting at $18-20/hour (depending on experience)

• Hours: Part-time, flexible schedule (approximately 10-20 hours per week)

• Ideal Candidate: Based in Portland, Oregon or nearby area with reliable transportation to Brightwood

Responsibilities

• Create engaging video and photo content on-site at Highland Farms 2 days per week, featuring our Highland Cows, farm animals, property, weddings, and guest experiences

• Develop and manage Instagram content calendar, ensuring consistent posting schedule

• Create and post Instagram Stories, Reels, and static posts that capture the magic of Highland Farms

• Edit content using mobile or desktop editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar)

• Monitor and engage with followers, comments, and messages in a timely manner

• Stay current on Instagram trends, audio trends, and content formats to keep our presence fresh and engaging

• Collaborate with the Highland Farms team on promotional campaigns and special events

• Track and report on Instagram analytics and growth metrics

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Instagram (Reels, Stories, posting best practices)

• Experience creating engaging video and photo content with a smartphone or camera

• Basic video editing skills (mobile apps or desktop software)

• Creative eye for composition, storytelling, and visual aesthetics

• Excellent written communication skills for captions and engagement

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Comfortable working outdoors and around farm animals

• Based in Portland, Oregon or nearby area with reliable transportation to Brightwood (approximately 1 hour drive)

• Bonus: Experience with wedding/hospitality industry, farm content, or lifestyle brands
